OpenClaw Clawdbot Custom Relay Setup

Step 1: Install and onboard

Make sure Node.js is installed, then in a terminal:

  1. Install globally:
npm i -g clawdbot
json
  1. Run onboarding (follow the prompts):
clawdbot onboard
json

Note: On native Windows, if openclaw is not recognized, use clawdbot instead.

Step 2: Edit main config clawdbot.json

Open: C:\Users\Administrator\.clawdbot\clawdbot.json Update the models and auth sections as below to use a custom relay.

Step 3: Auth file auth-profiles.json

Open: C:\Users\Administrator\.clawdbot\agents\main\agent\auth-profiles.json Put the real API keys from your relay here.

Step 4: Check and start

  1. Health check:
clawdbot doctor

  1. Start Gateway:
clawdbot gateway
json
  1. Open the console: Visit http://127.0.0.1:18789/ and sign in with the token printed at the end of clawdbot onboarding to start tuning your AI agent.
